Ideally, consolidation therapy should be applied as much as the duration of active treatment. However, in practice, 6 months of day and night (only by eating out) and 6 months with night-time reinforcements are practiced. Fixed reinforcement should be kept in the mouth as long as it remains in the mouth and if it breaks in fixed appliances, the broken apparatus should not be removed from our clinic until 24 hours by appointment. After the fixed apparatus breaks are repaired, the use of the movable apparatus can return to its normal routine.
